Laboratory Projects

·         Further characterized a signaling complex and worked towards identifying a phospho-protein with possible importance in TEL/PDGFbR mediated leukemogenesis

·         Evaluated the efficacy of specific kinase inhibitors in mouse bone-marrow transplant models of Leukemia

·         Designed and constructed a conditional TEL/AML1 knock-in mouse, a Vav-Cre transgenic mouse and a Vav-Flt3 transgenic mouse

·         Worked on cloning all point mutations in Flt3 previously seen in human AML and characterizing their sensitivity to Flt3 inhibitors in vitro

·         Collaborated to identify novel Janus Kinase (Jak) family inhibitors

·         Responsible for breeding/maintaining transgenic mouse lines

·         Designed and implemented a method for creating a central DNA “plasmid bank” and created a corresponding database
